The National Automobile Museum has partnered with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority to launch an interactive display featuring a restored 1926 Ford Model T.

The car, one of the most recognizable in automotive history, is now stationed inside the main terminal near baggage claim, framed by a backdrop of the iconic Reno Arch.

The exhibit invites travelers of all ages to sit behind the wheel, pose for photos, and engage with a slice of Reno’s past.

To mark the debut, the public was invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony being held today at 10:30 a.m. Attendees were encouraged to wear 1920s-inspired clothing in the spirit of the car’s era, and take a photo in the Model T, and one image is to be selected for use in the Museum’s upcoming marketing campaign.

The winning participant will receive a complimentary family membership to the National Automobile Museum.

Membership provides unlimited admission for a year, access to member-only events, discounts on programs and in the gift shop, and early entry to new exhibits.

“We are excited about this new display at the airport and our partnership with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority,” said Phil MacDougall, President of the National Automobile Museum. “It provides guests with a fun and nostalgic opportunity to step back in time. With over 240 automobiles just minutes away from the airport, our Museum offers a rich historical experience that we hope local residents and visitors alike will enjoy.”

The exhibit is part of a broader effort to connect travelers with the local community and provide a memorable arrival experience.
