The Washoe County Sheriff helped donate more than $62,000 to help kids in need this week.
It is part of the annual "Shop with a Sheriff" event, which helps kids buy essentials and presents ahead of Christmas.Â
Sheriff Darin Balaam presented the money to Walmart on Monday.
The kids will be shopping for clothes, shoes, and gifts for themselves and family members during the event on Wednesday.
