The Washoe County Registrar of Voters has completed bulk voter registration list maintenance following the 2024 election cycle.
As a result of the maintenance that took place between December 2024 and March of this year, 75,721 address confirmation notices were mailed to voters, 55,501 active voter registrations were moved to inactive status, and 25,012 inactive voter registrations were canceled after being inactive for two general election cycles.
Some key maintenance milestones they hit during the process:
Feb 20, 2025 - 8,628 voters were moved to inactive status due to no response to address confirmation notices.
April 2, 2025 - 25,012 inactive voter registrations were canceled after being inactive for two election cycles
Sept 1, 2025 - 3,635 voters were moved to inactive after no response was received to address confirmation notices
Nov 5, 2025 - 32,396 voters were moved to inactive status after no response was received to address confirmations sent after inactivity during the 2024 election cycle
March 10, 2026 - 10,842 voters were moved to inactive status after no response was received to address confirmation notices prompted by the ERIC program
