The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says their search and rescue team helped two hikers who got lost Friday night.
They say the hikers called 911 for help after going off trail near Mount Rose Summit.
When the Washoe County Search and Rescue team arrived, they found one of the hikers was showing signs of mild hypothermia. Both hikers were treated by REMSA and did not require hospitalization.
In a post on Facebook, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office says when recreating in the backcountry, always bring plenty of food and water and dress appropriately. They also suggest bringing a navigation device.
