After competing in the National Staccato S.W.A.T Championship, the Washoe County Sheriff's S.W.A.T. team earns $50,000.
These funds will go towards training, equipment, and continued readiness for future operations.
The Sheriff's Office says, in an online post, the team displayed outstanding skill, endurance, and teamwork against some of the best teams in the nation.
According to the Sheriff's Office, all proceeds from the competition will directly go to families of fallen officers.
