A student in the Washoe County School District has been arrested after posting threats of violence on social media.
This is the second time in two weeks such an incident has happened, though this week's arrest is unrelated to last week's, the Washoe County School District said in a release.
School District Police launched an investigation into an image and threat posted to Instagram and Snapchat last week.
That image included weapons and tagged multiple schools within the district, threatening school shootings or other violent acts.
On Monday a 13-year-old student was arrested and charged with making threats or conveying false information concerning acts of terrorism.
The initial post was shared repeatedly online, creating fear in the community, the district said.
There are no ongoing threats to schools listed in the social media post or on the dates listed within it according to the release.
No further information regarding the suspect can be provided as they are a juvenile.
