A Winnemucca man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in a child sex trafficking case.Â
The Department of Justice says Tyler Monson met a 15-year-old girl online, telling her he was 16. Prosecutors say after exchanging nude photos of each other, he went to Colorado to meet her and while on the way back to Nevada, he sexually assaulted her several times.Â
The DOJ says Monson pleaded guilty to one count of transportation of a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.
After serving 10 years in prison, Monson will then get another 10 years of supervised release.Â
