A woman has been arrested on DUI and child endangerment charges after crashing through a fence at a south Reno school on Tuesday with a baby in her car.
It happened around 4:20 p.m. on September 9 at the Doral Academy, according to a release from the Washoe County School District.
When deputies arrived, they found a car had been driven through the school's playing field fence, and located a woman who was driving the car along with her nine-month-old child, who was secured in a car seat in the backseat.
An investigation determined the woman, identified as 37-year-old Dar Kanellis, was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, authorities said.
Kanellis was arrested and booked on charges including driving under the influence, destruction of property, and child endangerment.
The child was evaluated and released to a family member.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
