A woman was arrested at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport earlier this month on charges including aggravated stalking and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.

On November 8 officers responded to reports from a man that his wife was at the airport, had stolen a firearm, and had previously threatened the man. The man said he thought his wife was at the airport to harm him.

When airport police arrived, they found the woman's car in the parking garage unoccupied. The woman, later identified as Kimberly Grimes, was found hiding under her husband's car.

Grimes had a loaded gun and refused orders from officers to show her hands.

She was taken into custody after a short stand-off and struggle and booked on charges including assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, aggravated stalking with a deadly weapon, possess firearm while intoxicated, and resist public officer with firearm.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
