The Nevada Seismological Laboratory has revised the magnitude on an earthquake that hit near Virginia City Sunday afternoon.

The quake, now measured at a magnitude of 3.72, hit just after 4 p.m.

It was originally estimated as a magnitude 3.5.

The Nevada Seismological Laboratory is reporting a magnitude 3.5 earthquake near Virginia City.

The quake struck just after 4 p.m. at a depth of nearly six and a half miles.

It is unknown at this time if the quake caused any damage.Â
