A minor has been arrested after allegedly shooting at a man Thursday night when the man went to confront the minor about walking their dog without a leash.

It happened in south Reno just before 6:40 p.m. according to a release from the City of Reno.

After the man approached the minor, the minor allegedly fired a gun at the man before running to a nearby apartment.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Reno Police surrounded the apartment, and the minor eventually came out and was arrested and taken to the Jan Evans Juvenile Justice Center.

Three .22 bullet casings and .22 bullets were found by a Police K-9 and the bullets and casings were able to be connected to the gun used, the release said.

The minor is facing charges including possession of a firearm without a CCW, brandishing a firearm, and discharging a firearm.
