President Donald Trump says the United States is talking with Iran to end the war, even as Iran denies any negotiations. On Tuesday, Iran fired a dozen missile barrages at Israel while missiles from Lebanese militants triggered air raid sirens. Meanwhile, Israel said it struck missile sites and other targets inside Iran. Trump has delayed his self-imposed deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The near-total closure of the crucial waterway has sent fuel prices skyrocketing and threatened the world economy. U.S. stocks swung between losses and gains on Tuesday over uncertainty about the length of the war.
