An Egyptian man has pleaded guilty to federal hate crime and other charges for a deadly firebombing attack on demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, last year. Mohamed Soliman is already serving life in prison after pleading guilty to state charges last spring. Prosecutors on Thursday accuse Soliman of carrying out the June 1, 2025, attack on the demonstrators because they were Jewish. The demonstrators were marching in support of hostages taken in the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel when Soliman lit and threw two Molotov cocktails. The attack killed one person and injured a dozen others. Soliman is scheduled to be sentenced in January.
