U.S. stocks are falling after oil prices halted their weeklong run of easing and a surprisingly strong report on U.S. business activity raised worries about inflation. The S&P 500 fell 0.6% Wednesday and was 1.1% below its record set last month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 87 points, while the Nasdaq composite fell 1.1% from its own all-time high. Stocks felt pressure as the price for a barrel of Brent oil rose back above $101. Treasury yields also rose after a report suggested growth for U.S. businesses, along with their costs, are surging at the fastest pace in years.
