Georgia High School Shooting

A teenager who killed two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Georgia frequently discussed his notoriety with his mother from jail. Prosecutors played clips of these conversations during his sentencing hearing Tuesday. Sixteen-year-old Colt Gray pleaded guilty Friday to 55 counts, including murder, for the September 2024 shooting. A judge will decide if he can have parole. An investigator said Gray idolized other mass shooters and sought notoriety online. A state official said Gray's behavior improved with treatment after a no-contact order against his mother and he starting taking medication.
