Philippines Ferry Fire

Firefighters have found burnt human remains inside a ferry that caught fire in Philippine waters, leaving five dead and 84 missing. The coast guard said the fire was declared out on Friday. Rescuers earlier struggled to enter the burning vessel due to heat and smoke, halting efforts overnight. The ferry sailed from Manila on Wednesday and caught fire near Coron in Palawan province. The cause is still unknown. The coast guard and other vessels rescued 43 people. The shipping company is assisting those on board and coordinating with officials to locate missing passengers and determine the cause.
