Thousands of students and supporters in Serbia have marked two years since a deadly train station disaster. The collapse of a concrete canopy in Novi Sad on November 1, 2024, killed 16 people. This tragedy sparked student-led protests against corruption, which recently led to the defeat of Aleksandar Vucic's government. On Sunday, people marched in silence, laying wreaths and lighting candles for the victims. Many believe corruption and negligence caused the collapse. Prosecutors have reopened investigations into the disaster. The student movement promises to restore democracy and rule of law, aiming to end the corruption that thrived under Vucic.
