Global shares are mixed after Wall Street holds near its record, and U.S. futures are little changed ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to the U.S. and his planned meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Oil prices have stabilized following Trump’s remarks Tuesday that U.S. and Iranian officials had a “very good” meeting on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York. In his address to the annual gathering, Trump had said he might “annihilate” the Islamic Republic if a deal couldn’t be made. On Tuesday, Wall Street’s benchmark S&P 500 edged down less than 0.1% and remained near its all-time high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.4%, while the technology-heavy Nasdaq composite climbed 0.5% and closed at a record high.
