A Nevada Red Cross volunteer is traveling to New Mexico to provide help to residents.
Two large wildfires are burning over 23,000 acres, and heavy rain is causing flash flooding and mudslides.
The Red Cross has opened emergency shelters and is providing meals to people in need.
Since the shelters have opened, over 560 residents have received more than 3,000 meals, and over 1,000 overnight stays have been provided.
It is also sending several trailers with relief supplies to the area.
The Red Cross is providing shelter, food, emotional and spiritual support, relief supplies and health services to those in need.
