A drug tip called into the Elko Combined Narcotics Unit resulted in officials arresting a 19-year old man for drug and weapons charges.
On Friday, a tip was provided to officials that 19-year old Adam Brooks of Elko was allegedly selling drugs out of his apartment on College Parkway.
Officials say a search warrant was obtained and executed on the apartment. During the search they found cocaine on Brooks' person, and in the apartment they found 17 grams of methamphetamine, a gun, and items commonly used in illicit drug sales.
Brooks was arrested and booked into the Elko County Jail on charges maintaining a residence for the sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for both the cocaine and the meth, and allowing a minor to be present during controlled substance violations.
Bail has been set for Brooks at $160,000.
