Some planned asphalt replacement projects will lead to some closures and detours this month in Carson City.
Lone Mountain Cemetery
The asphalt replacement project at Lone Mountain Cemetery will happen on May 19 and 20. The west gate will remain open, and detours will be in place, but you’re being asked to avoid the cemetery on those days if possible. Work will be happening along the east side of the main lawns and the three central roads in between the main lawn sections 2A, 2B, 2C, 2CD, and 2E.
Carson River Park
Asphalt replacement at Carson River Park will take place between May 20 and May 22. Carson River Park will be closed and will reopen when the work is complete. The adjacent segments of the Carson River Trail will be open during the closure, but must be accessed at another location, such as Silver Saddle Ranch or Riverview.
Morgan Mill River Access
Asphalt maintenance at Morgan Mill River Access will begin the week of May 26 and should be completed by June 5. The park will be closed during that time. Empire Ranch Segment of the Carson River Trail will be open during the closure.
