Nevada Men's Golf - 3-16

The first day of play at the General James Hackler Championship hosted by Coastal Carolina was a tough one, with the scoring average being 73.72, a stroke and a half over-par.

The Pack finished the day tied for 11th with a score of +7 (295). They also led the field of teams in pars in round one and will look to add some birdies on day two. 

Leading the way for the Pack in the first round was Liam Gobin, shooting a one over-par 73 that included a solid 15 pars, one birdie and two bogies to sit in 38th.

Tied with Gobin was Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae who also had a solid day, making two birdies, offset by three bogies. The pair will look for more birdies tomorrow to climb the leaderboard. 

Next best for the Pack was Junior Ben Ortwein, who made two birdies on the day, offset by four bogies. He sits tied for 49th, and will look for more birdies tomorrow.

One shot behind Ortwein was Aaron Leach, who was the birdie leader for the Pack on the day with three, offset by four bogies and a double. Leach sits in a tie for 57th heading into the second round. 

Rounding out the Pack was Jonathan Kim, who had a one birdie on the day offset by three bogies and a double. He sits tied for 63rd and will look for a cleaner card tomorrow.

The Pack will be back in action for round two tomorrow, teeing off at 5:05 a.m.
