They were able to get it thanks to a $5.3 million grant from the William N. Pennington Foundation.

Care Flight is a critical component of access to health care across rural Nevada and Eastern California. They have been caring for patients for more than 40 years, transporting around 1,500 patients every year.
In commemoration, Care Flight will suspend services for 24 hours and take time privately to honor the lives of the five people aboard.Â
