Numerous people were arrested or cited during last week's Street Vibrations event.

Regional police say they conducted an operation targeting sideshows, reckless driving in Reno and Sparks during the fall rally.

During the operation, police say one sideshow-type event involved about 30 motorcycles in downtown Reno. Riders were seen running numerous red lights, popping wheelies, doing burnouts, and riding on sidewalks. Of that group, police say 13 motorcyclists were detained and cited or arrested. All their bikes were towed; the rest of the group was able to flee from the stop.

Another, different group of about 100 motorcyclists riding through Reno and Sparks would take over all lanes on streets, slowing and stopping traffic and running red lights as they performed wheelies and burnouts. When traffic stops were attempted, all of them drove off except for riders that crashed - they were detained. Another rider was detained and arrested while sitting in traffic. And a different rider crashed and then ran away before being picked up by another rider.

Police also say that one rider was arrested during the multi-day event held by Road Rider of Reno. They say those riders blocked Market Street and did wheelies and burnouts for several minutes.
