Volunteers with the Washoe County CASA Foundation worked to prepare for the third annual Biggest Little Easter Egg Hunt and Resource Fair on Saturday.

Those preparations included sorting through thousands of eggs. Organizers used some 50,000 eggs last year and are looking to reuse them this year.

"So what we've tried to do is make this just an all-inclusive for our community to come out," said Tiffanie Story, Committee Member with the Biggest Little Easter Egg Hunt and Resource Fair. "So you have some fun, the kids get their eggs, and the parents also have resources to learn about the support that we do have for them in this community."

Their goal is for people to celebrate Easter, spread joy and learn how to strengthen their families and our community.

The event is set for Saturday, March 23rd at the Boys & Girls Club on Ninth Street.

2 news Nevada anchor Arianna Bennett will be emceeing the event.
