The Washoe County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man on drug charges as part of an ongoing investigation.
On Thursday, detectives with the WCSO's Northern Nevada Drug Task Force arrested 42-year-old Jess Zimmerli during a traffic stop in Reno.
They were assisted by HIDTA task force members from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit and detectives from the Regional Narcotics Unit.
During the investigation, detectives found and seized approximately 22.54 grams of fentanyl and 7.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Zimmerli was taken to the Washoe County Detention Facility, where he was booked on multiple charges.
Those charges include two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl, 14–28 grams), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, less than 14 grams), use of ID of another to avoid or delay prosecution, and a warrant for criminal contempt.
