A Reno man has been arrested after he allegedly stole a car, then fled an attempted traffic stop, crashed the car, and fled on foot.
Around 2 p.m. on Wednesday officers came across the car, identified as an Audi stolen out of Sacramento. They attempted a stop and the driver fled, crashing in front of a BevMo according to a post on Facebook from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.
On Thursday around 2:15 p.m. South Lake Tahoe Police got a call about a suspicious person near Alpine Drive and Venice Drive.
The caller said the person matched a description of the suspect released on Wednesday, and that he had asked how to find a bus to Reno.
Officers found and arrested the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Dylan English of Reno.
He is facing charges of evading police and vehicle theft.
