The Sites Fire is now 86% contained according to Cal Fire.

Update, June 23, 6 p.m.:

Containment on the Sites Fire is now at 48 percent, according to Cal Fire. The fire has burned 19,195 acres so far.

Update June 23, 12 p.m.:

Containment is now up to 38%. Cal Fire says no structures have been impacted by the blaze.

The agency asks that people stay aware of emergency vehicles in the area for your safety and the safety of the firefighters.

There is an ongoing investigation to find out what caused the fire.

Update June 22, 11:30 a.m.:

Cal Fire says containment is now up to 35%.

Update June 21, 9 p.m.:

The Sites Fire is now 30% contained. It has grown to over 19,000 acres.

Over 2,000 personnel are actively working to contain the flames.

Smoke from fires in Northern California may soon affect the region's air quality. 

The National Weather Service in Reno says the Sites Fire in Colusa County may spread smoke and haze across the Sierra, northeastern and western Nevada.

You are also advised to stay indoors when smoke is present, and consider postponing outdoor activities.

The Sites Fire is currently 5% contained at 15,656 acres after starting on Monday. The fire remains under investigation.

CAL FIRE says about 30 buildings are threatened and evacuations are ongoing.
