Nathan Wetherbee

A Sparks man who pleaded guilty to child sex-related charges was sentenced to life in prison. 

The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says 46-year-old Nathan Wetherbee will be eligible for parole after serving 18 years. 

Prosecutors say Wetherbee pleaded guilty to one count of Lewdness with a Child Under the Age of 14 and one count Attempted Lewdness with a Child Under the Age of 14.

Following a 2021 report of past sexual assault, the DA's office says Sparks Police detectives uncovered four children who Wetherbee sexually molested on various occasions between 2014 to 2017.
