A Sparks man has received two life sentences after pleading guilty to sexually abusing two boys.
The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says 36-year-old Sergio Ortiz will be eligible for parole after 35 years.
Authorities say Ortiz was arrested in April when the case initially involved one victim. However, they say Ortiz identified a second victim during his confession to detectives.
Prosecutors say both victims were known to Ortiz, with one child meeting Ortiz through his involvement in a youth soccer program. They say the sexual abuse occurred between 2013-2018, when the victims were in elementary school.
Ortiz pleaded guilty to one count of Sexual Assault of a Minor Under 16 and one count of Lewdness with a Minor Under 14.Â

Sergio Ortiz, 36 years old, was arrested on Friday by the Sparks Police Department.
