Reno Police used a drone to track down a suspected drunk motorcycle rider during Street Vibrations.

Police say one of their mobile units noticed motorcycles performing burnouts in the downtown Reno area on September 26th.

Officers tried to contact one of the motorcycles involved, but the rider took off. Police say during the pursuit, the rider drove onto the sidewalk while trying to get away. Officers remained in the area and, with assistance from RPD’s RAPTOR drone unit, followed the motorcycle to Casazza Drive.

Officers later found the motorcycle being loaded into an enclosed trailer and detained two people. The motorcycle had been occupied by two people when it allegedly fled from officers.

Officers who initially tried to stop the motorcycle arrived at the scene and identified one of the people as the driver.

During their contact with the driver, officers say they smelled alcohol and initiated a DUI investigation.

The driver, 23-year-old Seth Plikuhn was arrested and booked for:
* Reckless Driving
* DUI
* Obstructing & Resisting – Flight
* Expired Driver’s License
* Registration Required

"The Reno Police Department reminds the public that dangerous driving behaviors, including excessive speed and performing burnouts in public areas, can place motorists, pedestrians, and other community members at significant risk," says RPD on Facebook.
