Two Silver Springs residents were arrested and face drug-related charges.
On Thursday, May 23, shortly after midnight, Lyon County Sheriff's Office detectives pulled over a car in Dayton, Nevada.
They say the driver was 62-year-old James Weslow and the passenger was 59-year-old Penny Bettencourt, both from Silver Springs, Nevada.
Detectives allegedly found a large amount of methamphetamine in the car.Â
After conducting a search of their home, detectives also allegedly found more drugs.Â
In total, they say they found 2.1 pounds of methamphetamine, 11 pounds of marijuana, 42 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials and seven guns.
Both were arrested on charges including high level trafficking of a schedule one controlled substance.
Weslow's bail is $229,895.
Bettencourt's bail is $17,280.
