Two people died in a crash near Wells earlier this month.

It happened on April 6th a little after 10:30 a.m. on U.S. 93 about 25 miles south of Wells, according to a release from the Nevada State Police.

An orange 2017 Toyota Tacoma was heading south while a 2016 Freightliner commercial vehicle was heading north. The Toyota drifted across the median and the two vehicles crashed head-on.

 Both people in the Toyota were pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the Toyota was identified as 70-year-old Rueben Rojas, and the passenger was identified as 66-year-old Maria Rojas, both of Murrieta, California.

The crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command East Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
