An investigation is underway after a school bus hit a student riding a dirt bike near Desert Skies Middle School Wednesday afternoon.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened just before 1:30 p.m.Â
The student had to be hospitalized-- but we don't know the extent of their injuries at this point.
According to a Connect Ed call from the Desert Skies Middle School principal, school counselors will be at the school Thursday to provide extra support to students.
