A Ukrainian lawmaker says some residents of Russian-occupied Oleshky have been evacuated from the war-ravaged city. The evacuations Friday came on the fourth day of the most significant truce since Russia’s full-scale invasion of neighboring Ukraine began 4½ years ago. Davyd Arakhamia says the evacuees are traveling by bus to the city of Anapa in southern Russia then will flying to Belarus and cross the border into northern Ukraine. Arakhamia is a lawmaker with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People party. A convoy of 25 buses and some ambulances arrived in the Russian-occupied city earlier Friday to deliver food and medicine and evacuate residents.
