A shooting at a youth welfare facility in northern Germany on Monday leaves six people dead. Officials believe it may have stemmed from a custody dispute. Police say five people died at the scene in Stade, while a sixth died later at a hospital. All victims were employees of the youth center or its affiliates. Authorities have arrested the suspected shooter and are investigating the motive. Several others were wounded, some seriously. The facility provides temporary accommodation for pregnant women or young mothers with children. Mass shootings are rare in Germany, which has restrictive gun laws.
