Iranian attacks targeted Bahrain and Kuwait as the U.S. launched more airstrikes on Iran. There was no immediate word on damage or casualties from the strikes early Thursday. The Iranian strikes come as the U.S. has reimposed a blockade on Iran and stepped up its airstrikes on the Islamic Republic over the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian officials said the American strikes on Wednesday hit an Iranian army barracks, killed at least seven troops and wounded hundreds of people across the country. The interim deal to end the conflict has been shredded by days of back-and-forth strikes by the U.S. and Iran across the Middle East and renewed threats to the waterway crucial to global energy supplies.
