The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the man who died in a crash Saturday on U.S. 50 near the intersection of Deer Run Road and Arrowhead Drive in Carson City.
NHP says 47-year-old Justin King of Dayton died on scene.Â
NHP says a preliminary investigation shows a white 1995 Ford Crown Victoria was traveling westbound on US-50 approaching Deer Run Road. A black 1991 Ford Ranger driven by King and a silver 2008 Toyota Prius were both traveling eastbound on US-50 approaching Deer Run Road. The Ford Crown Victoria crossed into the eastbound travel lanes (wrong way) and struck the Ford Ranger head-on. The Ford Ranger came to rest on its right wheels with its left wheels partially off the ground over the eastbound travel lane’s intersection stop line. The Toyota Prius collided with the Ford Ranger, forcing the Ford Ranger to roll onto its right side.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is seeking additional witnesses to this crash. If you were a witness or have any information regarding this collision, please contact the Nevada Highway Patrol Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) at ncwmirt@dps.state.nv.us and reference NHP Case #191100159.
