The Reno Police Department is investigating after a business owner was hit by a car near Kietzke Lane and Apple Street on Monday afternoon.
Officials said it happened around 4:15 p.m.
They said a citizen was taking photos of a business in the area, when the business owner made contact with them. The citizen became fearful of the owner's intentions and fled in a car, hitting them on the way out.
The Reno Police Department says it appears to be accidental and there wasn't any alcohol or impairment involved.
Officials said the business owner's injuries were non-life threatening.
Everyone involved is cooperating with officers.
The Reno Police Department says they need to investigate further before deciding on whether or not this is a criminal case.
No other information is being released at this time.
