The Sparks Fire Department is reminding the public that open burning is prohibited within the City of Sparks.
They said this includes burning trash and landscaping material in resident's yards.
Washoe County Waste Management said that their customers current with their bills can take trash to the Commercial Row Transfer Station, Stead Transfer Station or Lockwood Landfill four times a year.
In the month of May, you can also set out 6 additional trash bags on garbage day without additional costs.
