The Carson Valley Senior Living has started a pen pal program that has been keeping residents busy exchanging letters with strangers.Â
It was created a few months ago, to lift spirits during the pandemic. 11 people are a part of the program, answering letter to people across the country and across the world.Â
"I didn't expect people from all over the country to be writing, and then I had one from France, it was a shock," says Katherine Wildes.
The program was created so anyone can write letters to those at the facility, in a time where COVID-19 changed the dynamics of their routine.Â
"It brightens my day when I get a card like this," says Wildes.
