Doctors in Australia have successfully removed a brain tumor from a 10-year-old pet goldfish named George.
The long-hour surgery took place last week at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital in Melbourne. Afterwards, George was given antibiotics and injections for pain relief.
The tumor had developed on the fish's head within the past year.
Owner, Pip Joyce said she noticed George had a hard time eating, along with other activities, so she opted for the delicate surgery, which cost hundreds of dollars.
