The Plumas County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a chemical hazard call in the area of Pine Street in Greenville, California on Tuesday.

They said a resident flagged down a deputy on Main Street in Greenville and complained of a chemical smell coming from a home on Pine Street.

The deputy went to the home and found 26-year-old Steven McIntire, who was on current probation. 22-year-old Travis Fairbanks was also inside the home.

The deputy searched the house and found ingredients and equipment to make butane hash oil and also found finished product in a pyrex type dish.

The two were arrested and charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance.
