Authorities negotiated for more than 11 hours in a standoff outside a Wadsworth home.
Since 3:30 p.m. Monday until 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, police surrounded a home on Railroad Circle negotiating with a man inside.
Pyramid Lake Tribal Police, Washoe County deputies, Sparks Police, and the FBI were all on scene Tuesday night.
"Right now the negotiator is trying to negotiate a peaceful resolution to this, get him to surrender and come out. If not, we'll remain here with the standoff until it's brought to its conclusion by law enforcement," PLTP PIO Don Pelt told us.
After the suspect gave up, they took him to the Lyon County Jail. He's also suspected of a crime in the Washoe Tribe area in Gardnerville.
There was a woman in the house with him. REMSA took her to the hospital for a stab and gunshot wound, that were from an earlier unrelated incident. There's no immediate word on how she got those injuries before this most recent incident.
Pyramid Lake Paiute had tweeted that a nearby daycare was on lockdown and evacuated as a safety precaution.Â
The FBI is taking over the investigation.
