President Donald Trump has approved the deployment of US forces to Saudi Arabia, UAE after attack on oil facilities.

Defense Secretary Mark Esper says that there are three goals surrounding troop deployment. One, to show that the United States supports its allies, to protect the fluidity of buying and selling and to assure that international norms are upheld.

There are no exact numbers on the amount of troops that will be deployed, although initial estimates are looking moderate.

The president's administration blames Iran for the attacks, but does not want to cause conflict with the country. President Trump said on Friday that he does not want to order a military strike.
