The Plumas County Sheriff's Office says human remains found near First Avenue in Chester, California were identified as a missing Greenville man.
Officials said the remains were found on October 5 and identified as Dominic Potts. He was an active missing person's case from November of 2018.
Potts' car was found shortly after he was reported missing in the area of First Avenue. This was the same general vicinity where a skull was found on Monday.
The skull was found by a hunter in a wooded area.
