Four students in Reno are the finalists in an international competition to make speeches about the benefits of kindness.
“What Madi and I trying to say we just need to work harder to be kinder to each other and it will truly make a difference.”
Madison and Katie from McQueen High School along with Addison Guinan from Mount Rose Elementary and Avery Clark from Roy Gomm are four of 20 finalists selected as part of the competition that saw almost 100 entries, including a few from Canada from Mexico.
Avery says her speech came naturally.
“It was pretty easy I just wrote from the heart and knew just what kindness meant,” says Clark.
Anyone can vote for their favorite submission through July 3rd.
The winner will get $500 to spend on their kindness campaign.
