The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says a Reno man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing a bicyclist with his car, while drunk.Â
Prosecutors say 52-year-old Jesse Michael Todd hit and killed a 16-year-old boy riding his bicycle along Seneca Drive in Lemmon Valley in June 2014.
Prosecutors say it was later determined that Todd was drunk, and speeding when he crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic and hit the boy, who had just finished his sophomore year at North Valleys High School.
Todd pleaded guilty to the charge last month. Todd will be eligible for parole after eight years.Â
