TMZ and Variety are both reporting that rapper Mac Miller has died after an apparent drug overdose. He was 26.
The former boyfriend of singer Ariana Grande had struggled with substance abuse but had just released a new album in August.Â
The rapper whose real name was Malcolm James McCormick released five albums.
He was scheduled to start his U.S. tour in San Francisco on October 27th.Â
Last month the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office officially charged him with DUI in connection with a car crash earlier this year in the San Fernando Valley.
I never met Mac Miller but was a fan of his spirit. Seeing this tweet and then listening to this song today is heart breaking. Its so sad. x https://t.co/JwopG6JnWv
