Road Closures and Chain Controls Through Upcoming Winter Storm

Chain controls are up on many mountain roads Sunday morning. More on road conditions and travel restrictions. 

Placer Sheriff says chain controls are up on I80 from Baxter to Truckee. 

Caltrans says Mono Mills Road and North June Lake Loop is closed for the upcoming winter storm. 

Officials say with the new batch of storms forecast to hit Mono County Caltrans is closing State Route 120(Mono Mills Road and State Route 158/June Lake Loop beginning Sunday April 5 and lasting until the storm passes. 

Caltrans says any drivers who need to be on the road to provide essential services should have a set of snow chains in their vehicles before they leave home, and for all other residents to obey the shelter-in-place order from the Governor.
